Lil’ Wayne Kicks Off X Fest with Sold Out Show at X Games Aspen 2019

On Friday night (January 25), X Fest officially made its way to the base of Buttermilk Mountain with none other than Lil’ Wayne. With a historic day of peak-level competition already in the books, the GRAMMY-Award winner knew that the stakes were going to be high with his performance. And boy did he deliver.

In front of a sold-out crowd in below freezing temperatures, Weezy kicked things off with “My Carter” followed by “I’m Going In” and “If I Die Today.” Leaving the audience in complete awe after the first three songs, the rapper followed up with an even better collection of songs — “Pistol On My Side,” “Lollipop,” and “A Milli” before delivering a titanic assemblage of new cuts off his critically-acclaimed new album The Carter V.

With top production present and an engaged audience, Lil’ Wayne showed that he’s truly untouchable when it comes to live shows.

Concerts at the GEICO Music Stage during X Games Aspen 2019 continue with Louis the Child, The Chainsmokers and Kygo through this Sunday, January 27.
