Liv McCormick Gets Raw and Real with Acoustic Version of “Alive” (Premiere)

Liv McCormick is getting raw and real with a reimagined version of her single “Alive.”

The budding songstress showcases her powerful vocals on a song that she says was “the only way” for her to “cope with emotions that are overwhelming”  from a toxic relationship.

“The ‘Alive’ acoustic video sparked from my fascination with lights and minimalistic style rooms. I love watching videos that are filmed in simple places,” McCormick tells Celeb Secrets. “I think there is a lot of beauty in simplicity, and that’s why the director, Ryan Nolan, got multiple angles for the video – it is amazing how a camera can transform a room from different viewpoints.”

“I think what I want fans to take from ‘Alive’ is that it’s okay to not feel like yourself towards the end of a relationship, or even after it ends. Sometimes, you just need time to get back to whatever ‘normal’ is.”

While new to the music scene, McCormick has vocals that exhibit both soft-pop reassurance, and the power of a musical theatre belt, offering something in the sphere of contemporary music that many artists of her ilk and age can’t. She is audaciously herself. Not chasing a sound or a mode; simply pursuing who she is through music, wherever that might take her.
