Giving back is always in style. That’s why the 2017 Nickelodeon HALO Awards orange carpet event was one of the most inspiring AND stylish moments of the year. The annual event, created by Nick Cannon, recognizes young people who help and lead others in their community.

While you may share a similar passion for wanting to see big changes in the world, we know it can be daunting to think about exactly where to get started. That’s where we come in!

Celeb Secrets caught up with stars like Lizzy Greene, Owen Joyner, Hey VioletJoJo Siwa, and more at this year’s event, and asked them to share their best advice for setting inspiring ideas into motion.

One message that all these celebs shared was it’s important to start small! It’s simple to make a commitment to picking up trash when you encounter it on the street, or spread kindness to others when they need it. Not only can you accomplish goal this reasonable, but little actions can soon turn to a noticeable impact if you can inspire others to pitch in too!

To keep the festive good spirit rolling the awards show will be premiering on television the weekend after Thanksgiving. Be sure to check out this year’s HALO Awards airing on Sunday, November 26 at 7 PM on Nickelodeon.
