Madison Prewett’s love life is taking flight in a different direction, announcing she’s engaged to her boyfriend of eight months, Grant Troutt.
According to PEOPLE, the two got engaged on the beaches of Palm Beach, Florida Sunday night (July 31), just shy of their nine month anniversary.
Troutt got down on one knee as candles in the shape of a heart surrounded the happy couple while he popped the question.

Could it get more romantic?
“Grant was waiting for me and led me out to the beach, where he had candles and flowers and a Bible with my new name on it,” Prewett, 26, told PEOPLE. “And the ring of my dreams!”
It apparently took Troutt weeks to plan the beachside proposal– and it seems plans may have almost gone awry since he got sick and wasn’t originally able to make it to Florida. Who knows? Maybe that was part of the plan the whole time.
The Bachelor alum told PEOPLE that she “had no idea the proposal was coming.” She initially thought she was taking pictures on the beach to celebrate her friends birthday but when she met up with her friends for the photos, that’s when things changed.
“My best friend led me into the bathroom where my mom and sisters were with the dress I wanted to get engaged in,” she told PEOPLE. “In that moment, I knew.”
Prewett was first introduced to the public in 2020 when she went on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor. She ended up being the runner-up to Hannah Ann Sluss but shortly after Weber ended his engagement to Sluss, Prewett and Weber gave their love a second chance. That was short lived though and they ended up breaking things off as well.
The Auburn alum then fueled dating rumors with Denver Nuggets player Michael Porter Jr in late 2020, as the Bachelor Nation alum was seen cuddling up to the NBA power forward in a pair of photos posted by the athlete’s sister in October of that year. Shortly thereafter, the pair ended their love story, as Madi revealed in a Monday vlog that she recently got out of an eight-month relationship.
“I definitely was in a relationship for about eight months or so,” she said at the end of the video. “But it just didn’t work out, it just wasn’t the right time. Who knows what the future holds.”
While she never revealed that her ex was MPJ, the timeline of events match when she was in Porter’s company.
She then started dating Grant Troutt, son of billionaire Kenny Troutt, in December 2021 but went public with the relationship in May 2022 writing, “so now y’all know, I got the realist G in town.”
She continued, “The past 5 months have been the best and wildest adventure. Full of highs and lows but there’s nobody else in the world that I’d rather do life with.”

Troutt’s father is the founder of Excel Communications and owner of WinStar Farm, a thoroughbred horse farm, worth $1.5 billion according to Forbes.
According to PEOPLE, the newly engaged couple do not want to have a long engagement. In fact, they already have some ideas in mind for their ceremony.
“We want the wedding to embody our values and beliefs and be the best celebration with all of our people,” Prewett told PEOPLE. “”We are so excited to do life together!”
