Magdalena Bay Encourage Listeners to Let Go and Have Fun in New Song “How To Get Physical”

Magdalena Bay are here to tell you that you’re not alone if you feel awkward on the dance floor.

The Miami bred, LA based pop duo released their infectious new track “How to Get Physical” today (January 13), and its all about that awkward feeling of not being comfortable enough in your own skin to let go and dance.

“Neither of us are particularly dance-oriented so we wanted to write an anthem for people who feel awkward when they dance,” says Magdalena Bay on the new track. “Ironically, this is probably our ‘danciest’ song to date.”

“How To Get Physical” follows their recently-released single “Oh Hell” and back-to-back Hype Machine #1s “Killshot” and “Good Intentions,” and will be featured on their new EP A Little Rhythm and a Wicked Feeling, out March 13 via Luminelle Recordings.

In addition to the EP on the horizon, Magdalena Bay have a headlining set at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, NY with an upbeat and eye-popping set on January 15.

Magdalena Bay seamlessly stitch together old and new, breathing new life into the neon late-night and offbeat cinematic nostalgia of the eighties with savant-like songwriting skill to create their own handcrafted sound and vision that packages melancholic themes inside a high-gloss, otherworldly pop. Taking inspiration from both Carly Rae Jepsen and Charli XCX, Magdalena Bay’s Mica Tenenbaum (singer/songwriter) and Matthew Lewin (producer/songwriter) have been making music together since high school and are about to take 2020 by storm.
