With X Games Aspen 2018 only a few months away, ESPN and X Games have announced the first wave of invited athletes for the annual competition this morning (November 1) on their website and social media accounts.
The first wave of invited athletes features 81 uber-talented riders, including Brock Hoyer, Chloe Kim, Jamie Anderson, Julia Marino, Marcus Kleveland, Mark McMorris, Øystein Braaten, Scotty James, and Torin Yater-Wallace. All medalists from X Games Aspen 2017 who have sport disciplines returning in 2017 received an early invite to compete at X Games Aspen 2018 in October.
For the 17th consecutive year, X Games Aspen returns to Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen Snowmass, Colorado to showcase the world’s premier action sports competition with live coverage on ESPN and ABC. The 2018 event will again feature action sports competitions, world-class musical performances from LCD Soundsystem, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, and Method Man & Red Man and a festival village.
