Meghan Trainor Releases the Acoustic Video for “No Excuses” – Listen Now

Meghan Trainor certainly knows how to get a song stuck in your head. One day, you’ll be casually surfing your car’s radio and land on one of her infectiously catchy tracks. You may hum along for a moment or two, but soon enough you’ll find yourself choreographing an entire Zumba routine to her dance-able jams. It’s okay: we’ve all been there at some point.

The singer’s latest single, “No Excuses,” is certainly one of her most pumped-up, energetic, and karaoke-ready songs ever. But if you’re ready to hear it in a whole new arrangement, get prepped to be thoroughly wowed by her newly-released acoustic track. This video was filmed with only an accompanying guitar and two fierce backup vocalists in London last month — and the entire production was shot in just one take!

It is no less of a party than the beat-driven original, but the “No Excuses” acoustic version makes us want to sing along even more. We’d like to call it the “lite” version of her popular original. And bonus: it shows off Meghan’s powerful vocals even better!

This morning, Meghan even performed this song and more live on the Today show with Kathie Lee and Hoda. Can we just request that the acoustic version be played everywhere?!

Make sure to check out Meghan’s latest “No Excuses” video above, and leave us your reactions below!
