Less than a year since the purchase of her California crib, Miley Cyrus proudly opens up her home to the press.
Surprisingly, every inch of the 6,800-square-foot space is already decked out with luxurious prints that exude chic yet rock n’ roll-themed vibes.
So, who could be behind this masterpiece? To unlock the wild mystery, look no further than Miley’s closest circle of immediate family members. It turns out that her mom Tish Cyrus is the genius responsible for Miley’s fresh and eclectic interior decor. With the help of her design partner Mat Sanders, Trish totally transformed a traditionally southern house into a home that conveys Miley’s personality on every crevice of every wall.
While getting swept up in Miley’s flourishing career along with her more mature trajectory, many of us somehow overlooked the fact that Tish has a full-blown interior design business—and it’s fabulous! After managing Miley’s stardom for roughly 16 years, she was truly the best person to reimagine Miley’s new home.
“My biggest thing is that when you walk into someone’s house, I want you to know who lives there, what their personality is, what they love, and what they’re like,” Tish reveals in conversation with Architectural Digest. “I know Miley so well, and we’re so close, so I was really able to do that.”

Some highlights from the exquisite design include a Gucci wallpaper that spans across Miley’s entire powder room, a display of the neon purple wig Miley wore while starring in an episode of Black Mirror, and a bright pink shell-shaped chair where Miley likes to sit with her dogs – that’s centered in the main living area.
“We tried to keep the actual structure of the house simple, so that the furniture, the heart, the accessories, the photographs, they can really talk,” Miley dishes while describing her vision during the magazine interview.
In the full home tour, Tish also shares some heartwarming sentiments. She acknowledges that her daughter is affluent enough to select practically any designer out there, so that makes this mother-daughter collab all the more meaningful.
“For her to be like, ‘Mom, I love what you do, and I really want you to do this house’ was awesome,” Tish says to Architectural Digest. “Not only as her mom, but more [than] that, I didn’t even go to school for design—and also I’m from Eastern Kentucky, so I think it’s really something. It made me feel so good.”
