We are so excited for Millie Thrasher‘s solo career!
The teen recording artist, dancer and former Sweet Suspense band member made her solo debut yesterday (December 18) with a cover video for Justin Bieber’s “Sorry.” However, this isn’t your average cover. In this unique display of talent, Millie intertwines her vocals with Bieber and shows off her dance skills.
“Justin has not only had a major influence on me but on most everyone my age,” says Millie. “When I heard “Sorry” and saw the dance video, I fell in love with the track and it made me wanna dance. I wanted to offer my interpretation as a tribute to him.”
The video was choreographed by Jamaica Craft and Brandon Jones of Jam Session Entertainment. Jamaica has worked alongside Justin Bieber, Usher, Ne-Yo, and Ciara and is currently working as choreographer and creative director on the hit show, Empire.
In the recording studio, Millie has been under the tutelage & vocal production of Jan Smith. “Mama Jan” as Usher tagged her, has been working in the music industry for over 26 years & has been described as “the secret sauce” by Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun. Smith & her MJM team believe that Millie brings her own secret sauce to the table & are excited to have her under development on her forthcoming debut EP.
