Our “Music Monday” artist this week is up-and-coming pop singer Cailee Rae.
Cailee Rae is a 14-year-old songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri. She has been singing and performing on stage ever since she could walk and has been writing songs since she was in the second grade. “My biggest inspiration is Taylor Swift,” she told us.
About a year ago, Cailee and her mom moved to Los Angeles so she can pursue music as a career. Since then, she has posted numerous covers on her YouTube channel and Instagram page, recorded an full-length album, toured with Midnight Red, and released her debut single “Beautiful Lights.”
“‘Beautiful Lights’ is about me moving from St. Louis to Los Angeles and who I’ve become while living in LA,” Cailee told us. “Everyone is different and their own ‘light.’ No matter who you are, your light is beautful.” she added.
CS4U caught up with Cailee Rae in the rehearsal studio earlier this year. In our interview, the 14-year-old talked about her beginnings on YouTube, the meaning behind her single “Beautiful Lights,” and why she thinks you should check out her music!
