Happy Music Monday, readers!
This week, we are introducing you to up and coming girl group G.R.L., who had their debut single “Vacation” in the hit movie The Smurfs 2.
This power house pop girl group was formed by Robin Anton and consists of Paula van Oppen, Emmalyn Estrada, Lauren Bennett, Simone Battle, and Natasha Slayton.
These girls started their career with a hit single, followed by their second single “Show Me What You Got” and they just continue to rise to the top. They are featured on a track with Pitbull called, “Wild Wild Love,” which is on the Billboard Hot 100. When we caught up with the girls they told us how exciting it was to work with Pitbull especially since they admired him growing up.
The aren’t just stopping there, they just released their newest single “Ugly Heart,” which they performed at SXSW-iTunes Festival. Their songs just can’t get out of your and just makes you want to dance the second you listen to it.
G.R.L. is currently working on their album and we can’t wait to hear it!
