Happy Monday, readers!
You may know Lafferty for his country tunes, but now the singer/songwriter is crossing over to pop and is absolutely killing it with his new material.
When Lafferty moved to Nashville from West Virginia, he spent his first year loading trucks at UPS from 4AM-9AM, writing songs from 10AM-1PM, and doing another shift at UPS from 2PM-7PM.
Since then, Ryan has two songs available for streaming — “Here It Goes” and “Church Boy.” In “Here It Goes,” Lafferty shows you all of the chinks in his armor while he laughs about it, while in “Church Boy,” he playfully highlights real life scenes from growing up finding his way with religion, sex, and music.
This year, Lafferty will unveil what he’s been piecing together since the days of cardboard boxes at ungodly hours.
