NCT Dream are bringing the heat with their first full-length album Hot Sauce, which dropped today (May 10) and features all seven members of the group.
This 10-track long project is the group’s first full album despite debuting as NCT‘s youngest subunit back in 2016 and also serves as the first album welcoming back group member Mark after he “graduated” from the subunit due to the rotation policy in 2018.
Since their debut, Mark and his fellow group members Jisung, Haechan, Chenle, Renjun, Jeno, and Jaemin have released a total of five EPs including their latest release, Reload, which earned the group no. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.
Along with the album release, NCT Dream shared their music video for their title track “Hot Sauce,” which features them trying out their own brand hot sauce with its Scoville levels leading them to break into choreography in a taqueria. The vibrant and, for lack of a better term, spicy hip-hop track has an extremely catchy chorus and a nice Latin vibe, making for a great summer soundtrack.
Hot Sauce has surpassed 1.7 million pre-ordered copies, making it one of the group’s most successful releases thus far, and is sure to hit 2 million soon (if it hasn’t already).
NCT Dream commemorated the album’s release with NCTzens around the world through a special live stream on the VLIVE app earlier today and are also set to perform songs from Hot Sauce during a special comeback show on May 11 at 7 PM KST.
