Lady Whistledown will sure have a lot to write about in the upcoming season of Bridgerton! Netflix just dropped another trailer for season 2 of the hit show today (March 9), and we can’t get enough of it.
Per Netflix, the second installment of the hit series will focus on Anthony Bridgerton’s journey to find a suitable wife. In the trailer, Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, quickly begins courting a new character, Edwina Sharma.
Edwina, however, has a very protective older sister, Kate Sharma. Kate is wary about Anthony’s intentions with her sister. As Anthony continues to pursue Edwina, he seems to find himself constantly bickering with her sister. The fighting between the two only makes Anthony and Kate’s relationship grow stronger.
It seems the audience may have a love triangle on their hands, as the trailer shows the pair having subtle romantic moments. Lady Whistledown narrates Kate and Anthony’s relationship saying, “What happens when duty is in conflict with the heart’s true desire?”
Bridgerton became a huge success when it launched on Netflix in December of 2020. The show is based on the books written by the author, Julia Quinn. Season 1 followed the relationship of Daphne Bridgerton and Duke Simon Basset, and fans couldn’t get enough, resulting in an immediate pickup for a second season to continue the storyline.
The show held the record for the most-watched series before Squid Game took over the title.
Season 2 will surely have fans coming back to see what unfolds between Anthony and Kate. The new season is set to be released on March 25th on Netflix.
