New Music Friday: BLACKPINK Drops “The Album;” Plus Other Noteworthy Songs from Shawn Mendes, Megan Thee Stallion & More

Happy New Music Friday, fam!

The weekend is officially upon us and we have a ton of new tunes to keep us in a good mood before we start a new work week.

To no surprise, BLACKPINK is topping our New Music Friday playlist today as their first full-length album The Album, is bop after bop with upbeat tunes that make us just want to get up and party (once the pandemic is over!). Our favorite? “Lovesick Girls” – a sassy pop anthem that gets your adrenaline going while empowering you with lyrics like “didn’t wanna be a princess, I’m priceless / A prince not even on my list.”

This week saw more collaborations from some of the industry’s most talented, including releases from Megan Thee Stallion and Young Thug; Dolly Parton and Michael Buble; 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’; Maty Noyes and Frankie; Sammy Wilk and JVCKJ; and GRIFF and HONNE.

More earworms earned high placement on our playlist this afternoon — Shawn Mendes “Wonder;” Miley Cyrus‘ “Heart Of Glass;” Why Don’t We‘s “Fallin’;” Halsey‘s “i’m not mad;” and The Vamps‘ “Better” with other buzzworthy songs coming from emerging artists like Kelsy Karter, Spencer Sutherland, Friends of Clay and 7715.

Keep scrolling to see our picks and let us know what you think of them by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sending us a tweet at @celebsecrets.
