New Music Friday: Jonas Brothers and Diplo, CNCO, BTS’ j-hope with Becky G and More Drop New Music

We rounded up some of the best new tracks from today’s biggest (and rising) artists.

Some of our favorite artists across multiple genres released some hot new tracks (and albums!) earlier today and we can’t get enough of them.

This week’s New Music Friday features fresh songs from an array of talent, including the Jonas Brothers with Diplo, CNCO, BTS’ j-hope with Becky G, Meghan Trainor, Echosmith, Jayden Bartels and more. It’s literally music to our ears.

Diplo feat. Jonas Brothers — “Lonely”

Diplo, under his country moniker Thomas Wesley, unveils new track and video, “Lonely” with Grammy nominated multi-platinum trio Jonas Brothers todayThe video was directed by frequent collaborator, Brandon Dermer, and was filmed documentary style over the course of a weekend of touring at the Calgary Stampede, Square Butte Ranch, XS Nightclub in Las Vegas, Electric Lady Studios in NYC and more.

BTS’ j-hope – “Chicken Noodle Soup” feat. Becky G

j-hope of the global superstars BTS released ‘Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)’ today.

Drawing on the hook from Webstar and Young B’s ‘Chicken Noodle Soup (Feat. AG aka The Voice of Harlem)’ which was an early inspiration for him when he first began to learn dancing, j-hope delivers his story about dance and dreams in the Korean lyrics, while Becky G participated in the lyric writing in Spanish.

CNCO — “La Ley”

Today, award-winning, multiplatinum Latin American group, CNCO drop new track “La Ley,” off their forthcoming EP Que Quienes Somos, out October 11. The song was written by CNCO with Andrea Mangiamarchi, Daniel Ignacio Rondon and Rafael Rodriguez.

French Montana – “Writing On The Wall” [feat. Post Malone, Cardi B & Rvssian]

Today, GRAMMY® Award-nominated multiplatinum artist, rapper, producer, and philanthropist French Montana unleashes a brand new single and music video entitled “Writing On The Wall” [feat. Post Malone, Cardi B & Rvssian].

This anthem aligns three of music’s biggest stars for a once-in-a-lifetime event-level collaboration. In the literally larger-than-life music video, skyscraper-size FrenchPost, and Cardi stomp through New York, towering over the skyline and turning up a mile above the streets. Backed by a tribal bass line, buoyant beat, and thick bounce, French cruises through tight bars between an instantly irresistible hook courtesy of Post and a sexy cameo from Cardi. This trio of styles ignites pure fire on the hottest posse cut of 2019.

Fetty Wap – “Brand New”

Today, Multi Platinum recording artist Fetty Wap releases his new single “Brand New” off of his forthcoming album King Zoo to drop later this year. The uptempo record finds Fetty crooning over a caribbean-synth beat making this song a certified bop.

Meghan Trainor — “Wave” 

GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Meghan Trainor shares her brand new single entitled “Wave” today. The track heralds the impending arrival of her anxiously awaited third full-length albumTreat Myself, coming soon.

CAL – “Better By Now”

CAL has just released his new single “Better by Now.” The track represents an emotional apex as the artist sings about his dad’s passing over sweeping electronics. “I lost my father at a young age,” he adds, “The chorus is direct. I’m supposed to be better by now, but I’m not. It’s very personal for me. It’s something I couldn’t have written before.”

James Maslow — “Delirious” Music Video

Recording artist, songwriter, and actor James Maslow has released the vibrant and sexy music video for his recent solo single “Delirious” about succumbing to the temptation of the person who knows just how to drive you crazy. The colorful visual for the infectious pop track is packed with models, an adorable dog and a shirtless Maslow.

NOTD feat. Daya — “Wanted”

Swedish duo NOTD have enlisted rising GRAMMY Award winning, multi-platinum recording artist, Daya, for their irresistible new single ‘Wanted,’ out now via Island Records. The ear-worm new single melds Daya’s honest, heart-on-sleeve vocals with NOTD’s inimitable glistening production to captivating effect.

Tyla Yaweh — “I Think I Luv Her” feat. YG and “Understand Me”

Buzzing genre-defying musician, Tyla Yaweh, releases two new singles entitled “I Think I Luv Her” featuring YG and “Understand Me” today via London Entertainment/Epic Records.

Echosmith – “Lonely Generation”

Multi-platinum trio Echosmith have returned with the release of their brand new single “Lonely Generation.” The bouncy alt-pop anthem, featuring a glistening neon beat, a sunny chant and acoustic guitar has an imaginative lyric video inspired by the song’s message about how lonely and isolating it can feel in our hyper-connected digital world, serving as a reminder to focus on real-life connection with each other.

Mike Posner – “Nothing is Wrong”

Today,  Mike Posner releases his new track “Nothing is Wrong”, his third single since his triumphant return to the Walk Across America. Despite being severely injured from a rattle-snake bite, there is no stopping Mike, and he will continue to persevere by releasing more new music in tandem with crossing state lines along his journey. He has officially walked over 2,000 miles on his trip.

Push Baby – “woah” – EP

Today, British pop outliers push baby release their debut EP, woah [School Boy Records/Republic Records]. The EP features previously released tracks “thor”, and “@thebackoftheparty.”

“‘woah’ was built over the period of a season in a castle in the middle of nowhere in the UK. It’s sonically not cohesive on purpose. We just wanted to be out there and not overthink what we release so the fans can watch us build our sound and vision organically and authentically,” says front man Jake Roche.

Jayden Bartels — “What Really Matters?” – EP

Today is a big deal for Jayden Bartels! The 14-year-old debuted her first EP What Really Matters? and we’ve had it on repeat all day. The multi-talented teen wrote all the songs on the EP from personal experiences.

Kalie Shorr — “Open Book” Album

Kalie Shorr, releases her debut full-length album, Open Book, today. In her own words, the past year was the toughest of Kalie Shorr’s life, with the tragic loss of a family member, the forceful ending of a long term relationship and the struggle of finding her identity through it all.

Walk Off the Earth — “Home Alone”

The critically-acclaimed multi-platinum pop band Walk Off the Earth today shares new anthem “Home Alone” off their highly-anticipated full-length album HERE WE GO! to be released on October 25 via RED MUSIC/Golden Carrot Records.

Olivia Holt – “Bad Girlfriend”

It’s been a minute since we heard new music from Olivia Holt, but we definitely aren’t disappointed because her new track sounds absolutely amazing. Titled “Bad Girlfriend,” the stunning video was directed by Miles & AJ.

Stefan Benz — “Get Over You” 

South African teen sensation Stefan Benz has released his new single “Get Over You.” The release comes on the heels of Stefan’s debut single “Cool 4 Me” which made him the youngest artist in history to ever land on Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday Playlist.
