Happy New Music Friday, fam!
The weekend is officially upon us and we have a ton of new summer tunes to keep us in a good mood while we’re getting through these tough times.
To no surprise, Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK are topping our New Music Friday playlist today with their new song “Ice Cream.” Tapped as one of the most high-profile collabs this year, the upbeat pop tune finds the megastars from both sides of the globe coming together to prove world domination, all while giving listeners the sweet tooth they never knew they needed.
This week’s releases saw more collaborations from some of the industry’s most talented, including Calvin Harris and The Weeknd‘s “Over Now,” Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj‘s “Expensive,” Saweetie, Post Malone, Da Baby and Jack Harlow‘s “Tap In” remix, JoJo and Tinashe‘s “Reggae,” among others.
More earworms earned high placement on our playlist this afternoon — Katy Perry‘s “Teary Eyes” off her new album Smile; “New Americana” from Halsey‘s Badlands (Live From Webster Hall) album; CNCO‘s “Beso;” and The Driver Era‘s “Places” music video (directed by Ross Lynch); with other buzzworthy songs coming from Olivia Holt & R3HAB, Rence, and 7715.
