Nick Jonas to Receive Huge Honor at Songwriters Hall of Fame

The Songwriters Hall of Fame will be honoring Nick Jonas with their Hal David Starlight Award at this year’s ceremony. The 47th Annual Induction and Awards will take place on June 9 in New York.

“Nick Jonas is one of the brightest and most versatile young talents on the American pop scene. A veteran of recording, television, movies and Broadway success…he has been making his cultural mark in a variety of ways for more than a decade. Nick has literally grown up in public, and that growth is reflected in his songwriting and singing. He is a wonderful choice for the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Hal David Starlight Award.” Songwriters Hall of Fame co-chairs Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff said.

Nick will be joining an impressive list of previous recipients including Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds, Taylor Swift, John Legend, Alicia Keys, NE-YO, Drake, Benny Blanco, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Rob Thomas and the Goo Goo Dolls’ John Rzeznik.

Jonas’s upcoming album, Last Year Was Complicated, will be released on June 10th right before he kicks off the Future Now tour with good friend Demi Lovato.
