Back in September, October Rose dropped their new single “Whiskey Cold,” which has been receiving positive feedback from fans and critics nationwide. Gearing up for the release of the track’s lyric video, the country duo gives Celeb Secrets an exclusive sneak peek before it officially drops.
“‘Whiskey Cold’ is an opposites attract song that sort of represents our two personalities,” the duo tells Celeb Secrets. “We thought it would be fun to include two of our favorite beverages, whiskey and beer. We wrote this song in 2017, so it’s exciting to release it in 2020.”
The smooth country tune’s visual, which you can see at the bottom of the post, fits October Rose’s neon bar vibe just like their single cover. Members Derek Allan and Leanne Weiss hope that after listening to the song, fans know that two different worlds can still find love. “We hope listeners enjoy the song and take away the message that people from two different worlds can still find love,” they share in a statement.
“Whiskey Cold” is just one of the many songs the duo has put out recently, including the timely soft ballad “Kinder,” and “Different Kind of High,” a heartfelt tribute to the ongoing drug epidemic across the country. “We plan on releasing some more content related to ‘Whiskey Cold,’ in addition to releasing another single before the end of the year,” the band tells us.
