Olivia Rodrigo Makes Her BRIT Awards Debut & Meets Taylor Swift (Watch)

Olivia Rodrigo is making her mark on the world by appearing at the BRIT Awards AND meeting Taylor Swift in less than 24 hours—impressive!

The rising pop sensation performed her hit single “drivers license” while styling a deep red Dior dress to match the intensity of her lyrics. A YouTube clip of the performance has already racked up over one-million views since Tuesday, earning a trending status with floods of supportive comments.

Rodrigo stands out on the dark stage underneath a spotlight with her stunning vocals as she belts out a rendition of her breakthrough hit with a mellow-paced orchestra in the background.

On top of the smooth performance, Rodrigo got to meet one of her long-time idols: country-pop superstar Taylor Swift. Since Rodrigo has openly expressed her inner Swiftie on social media with several fangirl posts, this moment couldn’t be any more iconic!

Over on Instagram, Rodrigo shares a silly photo of the run-in where she sticks out her tongue while Swift makes an adorable duck face at the camera.

Since Swift has already jokingly claimed Rodrigo and fellow singer/songwriter Conan Gray are her kids, the Instagram post wouldn’t be complete without a full family reunion. To crash the mother-daughter special, Gray quickly comments “i love my sister and my mom” next to the photo that’s nearing four-million likes.

The performance also comes just in time to ramp up the hype before Rodrigo’s upcoming album launch. Set to be released on May 21, Sour will be the songstress’s very first studio album and we couldn’t be more excited!
