At 17-years-old, the actress/singer/songwriter broke records with her first-ever promoted single. Billboard reports that “drivers license” had a record 76.1 million opening week U.S streams, a new weekly best for a female artists’ first stand-alone single.

This isn’t Rodrigo’s first time on the Hot 100 chart. Her track, “All I Want,” featured on the Disney+ series, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, was on the chart for two weeks and peaked at No. 90.

The artist took to Instagram to express her excitement and gratitude for co-writer, Daniel Nigro, and everyone who has shown support for her single release.
