Ellie Moore is a name you’ll be hearing more of in pop music.
Known for her female-fronted writing and production project LYRE with Alina Smith, Moore has written everything from anthemic bops to heartfelt ballads for artists like Kenzie Ziegler, Niki & Gabi, Betty Who and Gabbie Hanna. Now, the LA-based singer/songwriter is officially stepping into the spotlight with the release of her solo original music.
“I’m really excited to hear the music that I’ve had under wraps for the past two years. I’m happy that I can finally do my own music because I’ve been in the back seat for a long time just writing and producing for other people, so it’s really cool to take the front seat and be the face of the project myself,” Moore tells Celeb Secrets.
Since starting the project, Moore has released singles “Gateway,” an anthemic pop gem; “Somebody to Talk To,” a vulnerable track that was inspired by honest, real life conversations with friends; “I Love To Hate You;” and her newest single “OK,” which she premiered in front of friends and family with a party and special performance in Los Angeles earlier this month.

“Writing songs can be so therapeutic and for ‘OK’ it was a lyric that I had been living for years with this relationship I was in. I never truly understood how good it felt to be out of that relationship when I was in it so one of my favorite lines in the song is, ‘I guess I never loved you like I love me and that’s ok with me,'” Moore says.
Co-written with her music partner Alina, the process — according to Elli — was “magical” in a way that [Alina] knew exactly how she was feeling.
Elli is still hard at work in the studio making more music, with hopes of going on tour next year.
