CelebSecrets4U had the opportunity to chat with triple threat Alex Angelo recently! In our interview, the 15-year-old talked about touring with Jake Miller this summer, his newest single “Turn Me Up,” and what its like being a singer, dancer and DJ all at once. He even revealed some pretty cool hidden talents about himself — make sure to check out the full Q&A below.

Born in Fort Myers, Florida and raised in Ohio, Alex Angelo started dancing for the Cleveland Cavs at 7 years old. He started DJing at age 10 using his dad’s iPad.

Within a couple years, Alex has opened up for several musical artists including Justin Bieber,  Pitbull, Carly Rae Jepsen, Austin Mahone, Hoodie Allen, and more.

In 2014, he released his debut EP This Is The Beginning and went on two national tours with Austin Mahone.  Alex makes monthly trips to LA to study dance with famed choreographer/creative director Flii Stylz (Chris Brown, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jackson). In 2015, Alex crossed the country two times on national tours making thousands of new FANGELOS.

Currently, Alex can be seen on Radio Disney and the Disney Channel.  He now produces and hosts his own weekly radio show on Radio Disney called the Saturday Night Party making him the youngest nationally syndicated radio host.

CS4U: You were on tour with Jake Miller over the summer. How was that experience for you?

Alex Angelo: “The tour with Jake Miller was a blast. We connected with Jake and his crew so well. I like how hard they work as a team and am so thankful to have had this experience. We have a lot of fun hanging out together. We throw the football and ride around on his gliders. It’s been awesome.”

CS4U: What was your favorite city you visited?

Alex Angelo: “I could not believe the warm welcome I got in Milwaukee. It was my first time performing there and the kids were chanting my name before I even got on stage. They were screaming and clapping my entire set. It was a great feeling being there.”

CS4U: Do you have a favorite song to perform from your set?

Alex Angelo: “I love performing my latest release “Turn Me Up!” I ask everyone to turn on their cell phone lights and the house lights go down. It creates a great atmosphere for the beginning of the song. I have really cool choreography created by Flii Styles that I love performing to “Turn Me Up.” It’s a great time.”

CS4U: Your newest single is called “Turn Me Up.” Why should fans look out for this song?

Alex Angelo: “It’s a new type of sound that I am really proud of. It combines pop and EDM styles of music and showcases my more mature sounding voice. The lyrics go deeper and I created an awesome music video to go with it. It’ll be released soon and I am so proud of this song and video.”

CS4U: You are a singer, DJ, and dancer. Do you have a preference in your artistry? Is there any that you put more time and effort into?

Alex Angelo: “The singing is the newest of the three talents. I would say I put more effort into that than the others. I warm up my voice every day before going on stage and rehearse before the start of any new vocal project. I’ve been dancing since I was six years old and this journey all started with dance so I’d say I have a passion for dance but I love all three talents.”

CS4U: Our website is called CelebSecrets4U. Do you have a secret or hidden talent you could share with the fans?

Alex Angelo: “I used to be really into skateboarding which I did for many years just for fun. I also played baseball with a travel team up until a few years ago when my music career started to take off.”
