Daylan Moore is an actor and social media influencer who is using his platform to raise awareness of all the global issues going on in the world.
Moore started acting at the age of 6 after he was inspired by watching Disney Channel shows Jessie and Suite Life of Zack and Cody. The young actor is most well known for his role as Big Chuck in the film Urban Scouts and when asked what it was like working on the set, he discussed how the role challenged him to dig deeper into his own emotions.
“The role challenged me to go deeper into my emotions to connect with the character,” Moore shares with Celeb Secrets, “It was a little hard work but lots of fun!”
Along with acting, Moore also has built a social media platform on Instagram and has used his voice to raise awareness about the racial and social injustices in this country. He has the power to use his voice to reach young audiences and help them recognize ways they can generate change.
“With all of the racial and social injustices in our country, I wanted to do something because the silence has been deafening to me,” Moore says, “I am not old enough to vote but I do have social media and wanted to use my platform to raise awareness and use my voice to help promote change.”

Celeb Secrets: Hi, Daylan! For the people who don’t know you already, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Daylan Moore: “Hi, I’m Daylan Moore and 14 years old but soon turning 15 in May. Pretty tall but I love it. I am a high school freshman. I love spending time with my family and friends, watching sports, and playing Xbox.”
CS: How are you? How have you been handling this pandemic?
DM: “Overall I am doing well; no complaints. I was already homeschooled so there was no transition for me when the schools were closed. I do miss seeing my Grandparents who live in Alabama but now they are vaccinated and I’m looking forward to seeing them very soon.”
CS: Since we’re (sadly) almost a year into this pandemic, are there things you have learned that you might not have if we weren’t living in these times?
DM: “Yes definitely. I have lost family members during this pandemic so I have learned to really love on your family and friends because tomorrow is not promised.”
CS: Being a social media influencer, what do you hope that your audience gains from looking at your content?
DM: “Empowerment, Peace, Love, and Happiness”
CS: I love that you use your voice and your platform to reach audiences and help them become more aware of important movements that exist in this world today. What made you realize that you should speak up and use your voice for these revolutionary movements?
DM: “With all of the racial and social injustices in our country, I wanted to do something because the silence has been deafening to me. I am not old enough to vote but I do have social media and wanted to use my platform to raise awareness and use my voice to help promote change.”
CS: You are best known for your role as Big Chuck in Urban Scouts, what was it like filming that movie?
DM: “It was really fun and I met some great people. The role challenged me to go deeper into my emotions to connect with the character. It was a little hard work but lots of fun!”
CS: Are there any dream roles you’d like to play in the future?
DM: “Any role directed by Ava DuVernay! I admire how she addresses racial, social and injustice issues in her work and she’s not afraid to tell the truth.”
CS: Was there a specific movie or TV show that inspired you to start acting? If so, what was it?
DM: “Growing up I watched Jessie and Suite Life of Zack & Cody and wanted to do what those kids were doing.”
CS: Aside from being an actor and social media influencer, are there any other things that you’d want to try out?
DM: “I enjoy sports and I’ve played basketball so maybe I will start back and I want to be a lawyer.”
CS: Since we’re Celeb Secrets, can you share a secret with us that we wouldn’t know about you?
DM: “I am a roller coaster enthusiast.”
