Rainey Qualley is headed to the Opry!
The Cingle Records recording artist will step on the very same stage that the subject of her new single “Me And Johnny Cash” rocked many times, when she makes her debut on the Grand Ole Opry® on Friday August 28th at the Grand Ole Opry house. Cash actually kicked out the footlights on the hallowed stage during a performance in 1965, a move Qualley makes reference to in her incendiary new single that is currently rising up the charts.
The up-and-coming new artist is turning heads all over the industry with her powerhouse pipes and stunning looks, and is celebrating the recent release of her new EP, ”Turn Down The Lights” with an autograph signing in the Opry Store following her debut appearance on the legendary radio show. Qualley is sure to bring down the house with her edgy, high-octane performance during her Opry segment, in true “Man-in Black” style.
Rainey will take over the Grand Ole Opry’s Instagram to share behind-the-scenes photos from her Opry debut. Follow @Opry on Instagram, plus watch for live video from backstage via the Opry and Rainey’s Periscope streams.
CelebSecrets4U caught up with Rainey at the annual CMA Music Festival in Nashville earlier this summer to talk all things music! In our interview, the singer-songwriter talks about her first CMA Fest experience and her EP Turn Down the Lights. She even tells us about her writing process and shows us some super silly hidden talents — make sure to watch the video below!
