RASCAL FLATTS (Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney) commemorated their final performance at the Fiddle & Steel Guitar Bar, where they began their career in 1999, with a private concert for SiriusXM listeners. Before joining the Supergroup on bass during their new single, “Riot,” TODAY show weekend anchor LESTER HOLT sat down with Rascal Flatts to discuss how one fateful night at Fiddle & Steel Guitar Bar – which is slated to close at the end of the year as new construction begins – turned three musicians into the most-awarded Country band of the past decade and how a bar napkin deal lead to the band’s name.
