Rebecca Minkoff is celebrating the modern working woman with her Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
The designer put the pieces on display at an exclusive presentation during NYFW: The Shows 2019 on Saturday (September 7), taking place at Pier 59 Studios in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea.
Oozing sophistication without formality, Minkoff’s new designs give suiting an update. With oversized silhouettes, slightly puffed shoulders and monochromatic separates, the traditional work uniform now has more of a free-spirit character and we are here. for. it.
Longer A-line skirts feel light and lively in bright prints, styled back to oversized chunky knits. Flashes of metallic and studded embellishments add a touch of glam. Shearling-lined blanket coats, metallic motos and oversized bombers complete the look with a built-in attitude that is both fierce and feminine.
With super cute pieces that embrace female empowerment on display, Minkoff also introduced something brand new that has been long overdue — inclusive sizing. Teaming up with Stitch Fix, Rebecca’s FW19 collection comes in sizes 00-24 and XXS-3X, meaning everyone can wear designer threads and feel confident while doing so.
“I truly believe that when you look your best, you feel your best and I want every woman to experience that [feeling] when she wears Rebecca Minkoff,” says the designer in a statement. Extended sizing has long been relevant, and a priority for the brand, but finding the right partner with the right synergy was equally important – Stitch Fix is the perfect partner for this venture.”
