REVIEW: Halsey Opens the Main Stage at Budweiser Made in America (@halsey @halseyinfoww)

Halsey Made In America

Halsey Made In America

Halsey was one of the many artists scheduled to perform at Budweiser Made in America Festival  held at Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia over the weekend and CS4U was able to catch her set on Sunday afternoon (September 6).

Performing on the largest stage at the festival, the Rocky Stage, Halsey’s crowd was filled with anxious fans decked out in their best red-white-and blue outfit to celebrate the holiday weekend. Fun fact: Halsey was the first artist to take the stage after Beyoncé’s epic performance last night!

The 20-year-old Astralwerks recording artist performed songs off her debut album Badlands, which reached the No. 2 slot on the iTunes chart last week. Opening her set with “Gasoline,” fans and festival spectators were snapping photos on their iPhones and singing along to her catchy lyrics from other songs including “Hold Me Down,” “Castle,” “Colors,” and “Hurricane.” Since Philadelphia is super close to Halsey’s hometown in New Jersey, the “Ghost” singer took a break from singing to introduce her parents to the audience, whom she thanked for being her inspiration throughout her entire life.

To close out her set, Halsey performed her popular track and our personal favorite “New Americana.”

Badlands is out now at all physical and digital music retailers.
