Dan Liu showcased its new fall/winter collection during New York Fashion Week on Saturday (February 10) to some of the industry’s biggest fashion insiders at Spring Studios and it’s absolutely to die for.
The collection, inspired by James Bond’s track “The Spy Who Loved Me,” was all about the strong, independent, and dangerous woman — a spy. Classic silhouettes like trench coats, shift dresses, caplets, and a line skirts were paired with the sheen of a modern bomber or embellished buttons to create an in-the-now, yet sophisticated aura.
The prominent color of the collection was black due to the season, but statements of yellow, red, and pink enhanced the retro designs. Designer Dan Liu wanted the industry to know that color can make women feel more beautiful no matter the season, and he hopes to bring the blooming nature of spring into the winter months through his fashions.
Our gals Rydel Lynch, Teala Dunn, Emily Perry, Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Miss America 2018 Cara Mund, Miss USA Kara McCullough, Real Housewives of Potomac Gizelle Bryant, among others were front row at the presentation, soaking in all of the show-stopping pieces from the sophisticated aesthetic!
