Sarah Silva just dropped the music video for her single “False Illusions” and it’s absolutely 🔥!
Mixing feisty pop lyrics with a sassy Latin vibe, “False Illusions” is a classic retelling of a boy-meets-girl with a Gen Z twist.
“In the video, I invite a guy I’ve been talking to online, to one of my performances and right off the bat, I notice he’s a flirt with every girl he sees, so I’m like “nope” and tell him that I don’t need his False Illusions!” says the 17-year-old Latin-pop crossover.
A stereotypical player, Silva’s love interest in the video sends her mixed signals and presents a “false illusion” of himself. Everything that he says to her doesn’t seem to be fully true, especially when they meet in person.
“You may not be able to tell by watching the video, but I was freaking out the entire time while shooting the stage performance shots, because there was so many actors as extras and they were literally just staring at me with no emotion on their faces while I was singing to them very happily,” Silva laughs. “It was kind of funny but very very awkward and a bit sad. Other than that I had such a blast on set, it was definitely one of my favorite days ever!”

A household name in South and Central America, the bilingual singer has teamed up with producer, A-dubb (Anthony West), on an upcoming EP, which features Silva’s new single “False Illusions.”
Inspired by artists like Rosalía with hints of Becky G, Sarah is ready to make a splash in the U.S. with her own unique brand of Latin pop music.
“I just want to say that before everything started with the virus, I had literally just finished my entire album. The timing was just perfect, my team says it was a blessing in disguise that we finished in the time that we did,” Sarah tells Celeb Secrets.
“I can tell you there’s definitely some hot new music coming your way which I’m super excited about because what we have been creating is something refreshing and new. My team and I have been working so hard on this new product that we just can’t wait for everyone to see what we have been up to and to get back to it all and start working twice as hard as we were before.”
