So You Think You Can Dance: Top 8 Performance Night Recap – August 24, 2015 (@DanceOnFOX #SYTYCD)

So You Think You Can Dance has returned for its seventh week of live shows tonight (August 24th) in Los Angeles, Calif.

The Top 8 – Eddie “Neptune” Eskridge, Gaby Diaz, Hailee Payne, Derek Piquette, Jim Nowakowski, Virgil Gadson, Jana “JaJa” Vankova and Megan “Megz” Alfonso —  kicked off the show with a special group performance choreographed by Tyce Diorio to “Lillies of the Valley” off the Piña soundtrack. Following the group performance, the contestants were paired with all-stars Jasmine Harper, Jaimie Goodwin, Fik-Shun, Paul Karlmiryan, Kayla Radomski, Comfort Fedoke, Robert Roldan and Ricky Ubeda to perform various African jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, Paso Doble, jazz and Broadway sequences in front of judges Paula Abdul, Nigel Lythgoe, and Jason Derulo.

After each performance, the Top 6 took the stage for mini-solos to show America their talents before cutting to commercial break.

Following the all-star duets and solos, Team Street’Eddie “Neptune” Eskridge, Virgil Gadson, Jana “Jaja” Vankova and Megan “Megz” Alfonso took the stage for an insane performance to Puff Daddy & Friends’ “Finna Get Loose,” choreographed by Dave Scott. After Team Street, it was time for Team Stage to perform their group number. Gaby Diaz, Hailee Payne, Derek Piquette and Jim Nowakowski performed a beautiful contemporary piece to Ed Sheeran’s “Give Me Love” choreographed by Tessandra Chavez.

At the end of the show, host Cat Deeley revealed the final results, sharing that Derek Piquette and Eddie “Neptune” Eskridge were eliminated from the competition.
