Son Jung Wan has done it again with an incredible fall/winter collection!
The Korean designer showcased the new pieces, which were inspired by 1950s romanticism, during a special runway presentation at NYFW: The Shows 2020 at Spring Studios on Friday (February 7) in New York City.
Upon sitting down and grabbing hold of one of the many gift baskets that lined the front row, I couldn’t help but be extremely excited for the nostalgia I was about to experience from my favorite decade. Using bold color, structured shapes and various textures, SJW’s pieces boasted modernism with traditional 1950s couture.

The 15 minute presentation was absolutely superb. Models donned clean skin, bold lips and winged liner on the runway, making the out-of-the-box looks stand out even more. With superb attention to details and bright colors, the presentation ended with multiple sparkle pieces that paid homage to the glitz and glam of the decade it was inspired by.
I brushed shoulders with so many celebs in the front row, including actor Andy Karl and recording artist Orfeah. It was a moment that I’ll never forget and I can’t wait for the collection to officially hit stores next season.
