Spencer Ludwig just released the music video for his new summer jam “My Trumpet” and we are absolutely living for it!
In the video, Ludwig is shown taking a night stroll through lit city streets as he sings to his tune about how to just let loose and have a good time. The soft start leads up to a trumpet-infused chorus where everyone in the video jams out on a dance floor in a club to the lyrics “my trumpet will get you started.”
While the video features Latin rapper MC Davo and serves as a love letter to Mexico City, the inspiration for the track points to one of his all-time favorite performances, which was at the Boom Boom Room at the top of the Standard Hotel in NYC.
“Corey Chorus and Kenna Funken [co-writers on the track] remembered me as being powerfully seductive performing on top of the bar with my trumpet and so we combined all of the imagery from that night into a love story that is a mixture of all of our experiences from that night,” says Ludwig.
With similar vibes to Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake and even Earth, Wind & Fire, this song is an absolute must-listen. Showcasing Ludwig’s velvety vocals in a smooth melody and a seductive trumpet solo, “My Trumpet” is the perfect tune for a night on the town.

2018 has been the year for Spencer Ludwig. Since parting ways with his record label, the “YouTube’s Artists in Residence” artist has opened for artists like The Chainsmokers, Jason Derulo, and Betty Who, where he captivated audiences with his “one man show” and simmering dance moves. Spencer also wowed audiences at the iHeart Radio x Movie Pass event this year at Coachella as well as performing at the 2018 NFL Draft and Bonnaroo.
