Prepare to welcome an intriguing voice from the newest generation of music artists – The Heirs have arrived.
The LA-based indie-electro pop outfit, fronted by brother-sister songwriting duo Brandon and Savannah Hudson, has unveiled their first single “Alright Goodnight” from their debut EP, Introducing The Heirs, due for release in early 2015. The song will be available on iTunes Tuesday, November 11th. The track brims with shimmering electronics, atmospheric harmonies, sweeping keys and a handclap-driven beat weaving in and out of Brandon and Savannah’s intertwined vocals.
“Alright Goodnight” is reflective of the band’s impetus, a shared daydream in which Brandon and Savannah envisioned an aristocratic youth as the heirs to everything that the adults leave behind. While there is doubt that these young leaders are capable of assuming such responsibility, there is a collective voice to be heard. The Heirs are hoping to be that voice. “Alright Goodnight” expands on this idea; everyone, no matter what age, deserves to have a say, affect positive change, have an opinion.
Brandon, Savannah and their cohorts lead guitarist Daniel McMains, keyboardist/bassist Eric Sampson, and drummer Chase Meyer deliver an artful patchwork of rock, alternative, and electronic music with danceable grooves and hypnotic harmony on their debut EP, Introducing The Heirs.Equally evocative of a seventies spirit and “the aughts” aural expanse, the six-song collection was produced by Justin Stanley (Beck, The Vines, Sheryl Crow) and Bram Inscore (Beck, Icona Pop, Gainsbourg), with Brandon and Savannah co-producing. Look for the EP to drop early next year. It is sure to establish The Heirs as one of the most promising bands to debut in 2015.
