The Voice has narrowed it down to the top 5 semi-finalists on this week’s results show (May 6).
On Coach Blake Shelton performed the single “My Eyes” from his best-selling album “Based on a True Story …” with former “Voice” artist Gwen Sebastian, who was a member of Team Blake during the show’s second season in 2012. Also on last night’s show, future Voice coaches Pharrell Williams andGwen Stefani sang their respective hit singles“Come Get It Bae” from his new album, “Girl,” and “Hollaback Girl” from her debut solo album, “Love. The show kicked off with a special performance of “” from the Top 8. Following the performance, host Carson Daly announced that Team Usher’s Josh Kaufman, Team Shakira‘s Kristen Merlin, and Team Adam‘s Christina Grimmie have been put through to the semi-finals next week due to high votes.
After the announcement, Team Adam‘s Christina Grimmie, Sisaundra Lewis, and Delvin Choice and Team Usher‘s Josh Kaufman performed “”. The last contestant that was automatically put through to the semi-finals was Jake Worthington.
The remaining four, Sisaundra Lewis, Kristen Merlin, Delvin Choice and Audra McLaughlin performed for one last time to remain in the competition.
After the Twitter Instant Save vote, Kat Perkins was spared another week meaning Team Blake’s Audra McLaughlin and Sisaundra Lewis and Team Adam’s Delvin Choice was eliminated from the competition.
The Top 5 are Josh Kaufman, Kristen Merlin, Christina Grimmie, Jake Worthington, and Kat Perkins.
