Can’t wait to see all of the new adventures and meets tons of new villain characters in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants 2? We can barely contain our excitement either, and it feels like we have had the July 21, 2017 premiere date circled on our calendars for ages. Luckily, an unexpected D2 surprise was just revealed, and now we have another thrilling event to look forward to.
Disney Channel announced on Instagram that Descendants 2: It’s Going Down, an upcoming behind-the-scenes special about the making of the movie hosted by actress Anna Cathcart, will air on the network on July 7.

In the movie, Anna plays a brand new character named Drizzy, who is the daughter of Drizella, one of the stepsisters from Cinderella. By hosting the behind-the-scenes special, we’ll really get to learn more about the actress herself, and her undoubtedly fun new role.
Tagged in the announcement photo are actors Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart, Cameron Boyce, Mitchell Hope, China Anne McClain, Brenna D’Amico, Dylan Playfair, Dianne Doan, and Thomas Doherty, so we can likely expect to see them all make an appearance in It’s Going Down.

Judging by her incredible Instagram photos, Anna seems to have gotten super close with the entire cast and crew of Descendants 2 during filming, so we expect that will give us the total insider perspective on the movie and its making. In fact, she looks just as excited about all of the upcoming D2 news as we are!
