We had the opportunity to visit the Observation Deck at the Empire State Building in New York City with Breanna Yde last week!

For those of you who don’t know, Breanna is in Nickelodeon’s new live-action series, School of Rock, which is a reboot of the hit 2003 movie starring Jack Black. The series follows a group of overachieving prep school students who band together and learn to rock out when they meet their new, unconventional substitute teacher Dewey Finn (Tony Cavalero). The 12-year-old plays Tomika, the fun-loving bass player and powerful vocalist who is a bit of a tomboy.

During our time with Breanna, we asked her about the brand new show and what it was like having Fall Out Boy‘s bass player Pete Wentz on set. She told us what her favorite thing to do in New York City is, her thoughts on the Broadway version of her show, and a behind-the-scenes set secret from filming — make sure to watch the full video below!

On tonight’s episode titled “Video Killed the Speed Debate Star,” Principal Mullins installs surveillance cameras in all the classrooms, putting the band’s secret in danger. Dewey (Tony Cavalero), Lawrence (Aidan Miner)and the gang must work together to expertly evade discovery.

School of Rock airs every Saturday @ 8:30PM ET/PT on Nickelodeon.
