We all know and love Corey Fogelmanis as Farkle on Girl Meets World. Throughout season 2 of the show, we’ve watched as Farkle and the rest of the gang tackled life as middle-schoolers and for Farkle this season, it hasn’t always been easy. He’s been confused about his identity, confused about love and confused about a possible diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome, but that also hasn’t stopped him from being his nerdy and Type A Farkle self.

CelebSecrets4U sat down with Corey to talk about the Asperger’s Syndrome episode and what it was like acting in that episode. We also asked him about his new movie Mostly Ghostly 3: One Night in Doom House and what he loves to do outside of filming, such as reading and photography. Oh and we got the scoop and what kind of driver this 16-year-old is, so make sure to read our Q&A below!

Girl Meets World returns Friday, January 8, 2016 on Disney Channel.

CS4U: Last time we talked to you you shared that one of your secrets is you love to read. Can you tell us what you’re reading right now or your favorite books?

Corey Fogelmanis: “Right now I’m actually reading a book about Broadway. Classic Corey, but yeah, I’m reading a cool book about a bunch of Tony award winners and nominees and their journeys and it’s really inspiring.”

CS4U: Speaking of Broadway, are there any shows you’d like to see?

Corey Fogelmanis: “Yeah there’s so many shows that I want to see right now, but I really want to see Fun Home and I want to see Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.”

CS4U: If you could pick a favorite Boy Meets World character, who would you choose?

Corey Fogelmanis: “In Boy Meets World, that’s really hard. Probably Eric. He’s so funny and it’s really cool that he got to come back and reprise the role and we got to work with him because it was really nice to see the way he worked and to learn from him.”

CS4U: There’s been a lot of focus on the Lucas/Maya/Riley relationships and you had tweeted to fans to focus more on the lessons than the shipping. Can you maybe talk about?

Corey Fogelmanis: “The episode I actually tweeted that about was our episode that we talked about Asperger’s and not that that was our most important episode ever, but I really wanted people to get that because, I don’t know, it kind of gets lost sometimes and I just wanted people to catch on to that lesson and not worry about the ships totally.”

CS4U: What was it like acting in that episode?

Corey Fogelmanis: “It was really cool. I was really happy. I mean I knew we were doing something kind of big. I was really excited. I was hoping that we could do something that would help support people and shine a light on something that people need to realize and learn about.”

CS4U: You’re currently working on a movie called Mostly Ghostly 3: One Night in Doom House. Can you tell us about that?

Corey Fogelmanis: “We just finished our second week of shooting and it’s been going really well so far. We’re shooting in Vancouver. It’s a lot of fun. There’s a lot of action and special effects so it’ll be really exciting.”

CS4U: What do you like to do in Vancouver? Have you had time to do anything outside of filming?

Corey Fogelmanis: “I like to walk around a lot. It’s just nice to people watch there and the city is really pretty.”

CS4U: You also do a lot of photography. Can you tell us what your favorite photo is that you’ve ever taken?

Corey Fogelmanis: “I don’t think I’ve actually posted this one before. I’ve just kind of kept it for myself, but I took a photo in New York this year in February and the snow was melting and I took a photo of the reflection in the water and it shows the buildings and that’s probably my favorite one that I’ve taken. I’m really proud of it.”

CS4U: Now that you’re 16, we wanted to know if you’ve started driving yet.

Corey Fogelmanis: “I haven’t started driving yet. I’m going to get my license eventually. It’s just not a priority right now. I haven’t started the driver’s ed yet.”

CS4U: Is anyone in your family helping you with driving yet?

Corey Fogelmanis: “Yeah my dad. He actually drives like the big rigs so he’s a professional driver he likes to say so I think I’m in pretty good hands.”

CS4U: And last but not least, do you have any advice for your fans?

Corey Fogelmanis: “I just want to say in terms of advice to just never give up.”
