Wonho has teamed up with American singer-songwriter Kiiara and released a sultry music video for their song “Ain’t About You.”
In the video, we see the two singing the upbeat ballad while in two different locations, perfectly encompassing the concept of the song. Wonho is in a luxurious hotel, singing and dancing atop a bar and showing off his muscles while he soaks in a bathtub. Kiiara, on the other hand, is wearing a stunning dress while driving a classic convertible through a sunny desert.
“You’re so hard to resist, a love that hurt like this / I wish it wasn’t hell to love you more than you love yourself / Know you’re probably pissed / To know the world don’t circle ’round you now, oh well / This ain’t about you,” the duo take turns singing during the pre-chorus of the bittersweet breakup song.
Wonho and Kiiara’s voices blend smoothly together during the chorus and complement each other’s tones well, making this a seamless collab that could easily take over pop radio with its catchy lyrics and danceable beats.
“Ain’t About You” comes from Wonho’s second mini-album Love Synonym #2: Right for Us, which was released earlier this year, and marks the first time Wonho has collaborated with an American artist during his solo career.
Love Synonym #2: Right for Us is an 8-song project that includes tracks like the English language version of the lead single “Lose” and “FLASH.” With this second mini-album, Wonho received praise from the NME and Forbes, after the album claimed the #1 spot on iTunes’ K-Pop Album Chart and #3 on the Pop Albums Charts.
