Zac Efron is Dylan Efron’s Number 1 Fan at 2018 Boston Marathon

We all know Zac Efron for his movies such as High School Musical and The Greatest Showman, but have you heard of Dylan Efron?

Dylan Efron has started to become known by his ability to run marathons and compete in Iron Mans. In 2016, Dylan ran in the Chicago Marathon, where he ran it in an impressive time of 3:01:32 placing 1047 out of 41,000+ people.

In order to qualify to run the Boston Marathon, people ages 18-35 must run it in 3:05 or less, and since Dylan is only 26, he was able to secure a spot in the 2018 Boston Marathon.

The 2018 Boston Marathon was held yesterday (April 16th), which was probably one of the worst days to run a marathon. It was cold, windy, and rainy — definitely not the weather a runner likes when they’re about to run 26.2 miles! However, this didn’t stop Dylan from having a positive mindset about the race. Like every runner does, he took out his race clothes, placed them on the floor and took a nice picture of his outfit. His brother, Zac commented for moral support, wishing him luck “Run like the wind, brother.”

At mile one, two supporters saw Dylan running. Alejandra Rodriguez and Zariah Lima from Wheelock College in Boston, MA described his mood as determined.

“Dylan was at a steady pace despite the weather conditions. He pumped his fist when we yelled his name which acknowledged and appreciated our support for him,” Rodriguez and Lima said. “We tried to follow Dylan’s pace but we lost him after the Citgo Sign.”

Despite the horrible day for the marathon, Dylan was able to run fast and strong — Boston strong. With a strong average pace of 6:47 per mile, Dylan was able to finish his first Boston Marathon in an astonishing time of 2:57:50; placing 1,430 out of 25,000+ runners.

Zac even came to Boston to support his brother. He was in the bleachers cheering his brother Dylan in the most supportive way possible. Take a look at the videos below.
