Celeb Secrets has teamed up with Taki to spotlight some of the Internet’s top creators each month, where they share their journey on how they rose to Internet fame and interact with fans on the new interactive platform.
Just a few years ago, Paolo Torres Vasquez — aka Torvas — was a normal high school student in Indiana figuring out his teenage years and future. After making the decision to join social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, the 19-year-old has amassed millions of followers collectively on his accounts by creating content that intrigued fans around the world.
The new interactive platform Taki, where you can request actors, content creators, gamers, and athletes to deliver a custom video message to friends, family members, or even yourself, saw how wildly popular Torvas’ videos were and brought him onboard to share custom videos to some of his biggest supporters.
“I love Taki because it keeps me engaged with my fans. Taki is a platform where I can talk to them directly and give them videos,” Torvas tells Celeb Secrets. “It’s a good way to connect with your fans and I’m so happy to be apart of it.”
Receiving a mix of everything from greeting and birthday messages, Torvas says his favorite Taki to film to date was a prank he did with one of his friends for one of his supporters.
“My favorite [Taki] was one where a supporter of mine asked me to make a prank. It’s out of my comfort zone, so I told my friend I was filming a TikTok but it was actually for Taki,” he shares. “I told him it was a magic trick but I tricked him and he fell on his butt. It was really different from something I usually do so it was pretty cool.
Celeb Secrets sat down (virtually) with Torvas to talk about his social media journey, being on Taki and more, all while he was quarantined in his room with COVID-19.
