Jenny March Says New Song ‘November Nights’ is About Loving Someone with All of Their Flaws (Exclusive)

Jenny March is back with new music and we’re here 👏🏼for 👏🏼 it 👏🏼

The 25-year-old LA-based singer just dropped her new song “November Nights” today, and its a moody pop song that is topping our playlists today and every day.

Inspired by a past relationship, “November Nights” is about how you can love someone so deeply, even knowing you probably shouldn’t be with this person, and yet you are still somehow addicted to making it work, longing for their love and validation.

“[The song] is about loving someone fully even still, with all of their flaws,” Jenny tells Celeb Secrets. “Even through the highs and lows, you know they have your back and you have theirs.”

“November Nights” is also the first taste of March’s debut EP that’s expected to drop later this year. “It’s been a long time coming honestly,” Jenny says. “It shows every side of me. I’m influenced by a lot of different genres so it’s going to be a blend of those.”

The song also follows Jenny’s 2019 power ballad “Rebound” about honoring her self-respect over the love of a man and refusing to be the rebound of a crush. Since bursting onto the scene with her debut single “California Daze” in 2018, March has continued to “do her” with releases like “FUWY” about getting lost in the moment with the person you want the most and the sun-soaked  “Talk To Me” about indulging in a good time.

Aside from virtually chatting with Celeb Secrets, the pop singer is keeping pretty busy in quarantine with her weekly “Wednesday Sessions” on Instagram Live while being a social ambassador for Rihanna’s SAVAGExFENTY line, fusing her love of music and fashion.

Keep scrolling to read our full Q&A with Jenny below and make sure to let us know what you think of “November Nights” by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sending us a tweet at @celebsecrets.

Celeb Secrets: This is so exciting that your new single “November Nights” is finally here. Can you talk to us about the meaning behind it?

Jenny March: “‘November Nights’ is about loving someone fully even still, with all of their flaws. Even through the highs and lows, you know they have your back and you have theirs.”

CS: The single is the first taste of what we can expect from your new EP. Can you talk to us about the upcoming record and what we can look forward to from it?

JM: “Yes! I’m so excited to put out my first EP. It’s been a long time coming honestly. This record is going to be really fun! It shows every side of me. I’m influenced by a lot of different genres so it’s going to be a blend of those.”

CS: Who or what has been inspiring you both lyrically and sonically? (can be someone you look up to or someone in your life)

JM: “I’ve been inspired a lot by Post Malone’s last album Hollywood’s Bleeding, especially his tracks and melodies. Sometimes I think in terms of live shows when I’m writing music too, like what will be fun to perform live. As much as I love upbeat bangers, I’ve always enjoyed singing and writing ballads, so there’s going to be a mix.”

CS: You’ve been staying pretty busy during quarantine, as you go live on Instagram every Wednesday for a Q&A with different artists. Can you tell us more about these sessions and maybe your favorite memory from them so far?

JM: “Yes!! I wanted to start something during Quarantine where I could still perform for fans and also lift up my fellow musicians during this time. I have a new artist join me on my Instagram live every week and we start with a Q&A and then the artist performs 3-4 songs (originals and/or covers) and then I perform a few songs after. It’s an hour long live and we just talk about music and life. There are so many good memories from it so far, but the best ones have been reconnecting with some of the artists, like Jake Walker and Kirsten Collins, who I’ve known since I moved out to LA and seeing how far they’ve come.”

CS: Who is someone you would love to have as a special guest?

JM: “Ooh I’d love to have my girl Kiana Ledé as a guest. I’d love to discuss her new album with her and the process of making it. Her album KIKI is so good! If you haven’t listened to it yet, DO IT.”

CS: What can we expect from you once quarantine ends?

JM: “I’ll definitely be releasing my first EP this fall. Who knows when quarantine will end, but once it’s over I’m going to be out performing. I love being on stage and feeling that energy. I’ve missed it so much! Until then, I’ll continue to do livestreams and wear a mask. (:”
