The Jonas Brothers are headed to Vegas!
Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas are performing their comeback single “Sucker” live at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, marking their first televised award show performance in 10 years. The special moment will join BTS featuring Halsey, Kelly Clarkson, Lauren Daigle, Khalid, Panic! At The Disco, Sam Smith & Normani, plus a special performance by 2019 ICON Award recipient, Mariah Carey as they are also confirmed to take the stage during the telecast.
After selling millions of albums in the late 2000s/early 2010s and announcing their hiatus in 2013, the Jonas Brothers returned to music earlier this year with the release of “Sucker.” The track drew worldwide buzz and debuted at the top of the Billboard Charts moments after its release, marking the first time a group opened at No. 1 in more than 20 years. Before the “Sucker” madness, Jonas Brothers notched five top 10-charting albums on the Billboard 200 chart (two of which hit No. 1) and earned over 6 million in equivalent album units for their overall album catalog.
Earlier this month, Kelly Clarkson joined Dan + Shay on the Today Show in New York City to reveal the nominees in top categories. Cardi B leads with a whopping 21 nominations this year, followed by Drake and Post Malone with seventeen, Travis Scott with twelve, XXXTENTACION with ten and Ariana Grande with nine. Nominated for two awards this year, Taylor Swift still leads the pack for most wins of all time with 23, a record she could break again with a win this year. Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the 2019 Billboard Music Awards will air LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 1st @ 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
