Madonna and Maluma to Debut “Medellín” at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards

Madonna and Maluma are about to make history at the BBMAs next month!

The revolutionary global icon and Latin superstar are teaming up for a special performance of their brand new track “Medellín” at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, marking its worldwide television debut. “Medellín” is the first track from Madonna’s highly anticipated 14th studio album Madame X which will be released on June 14.

Next month’s performance will be Madonna’s first time on the BBMA stage with new music in over four years and this will be Maluma’s first. The join previously announced performers including Jonas BrothersBTS featuring HalseyKelly Clarkson, Lauren Daigle, Khalid, Panic! At The Disco, Sam Smith & Normani, plus a special performance by 2019 ICON Award recipient, Mariah Carey.

Earlier this month, Kelly Clarkson joined Dan + Shay on the Today Show in New York City to reveal the nominees in top categoriesCardi B leads with a whopping 21 nominations this year, followed by Drake and Post Malone with seventeen, Travis Scott with twelve, XXXTENTACION with ten and Ariana Grande with nine. Nominated for two awards this year, Taylor Swift still leads the pack for most wins of all time with 23, a record she could break again with a win this year. Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the 2019 Billboard Music Awards will air LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 1st @ 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
