The 2019 Billboard Music Awards are taking over Sin City, airing LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena beginning at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.

Whether you scored an invite or hosting a watch party with your friends, tonight’s show is expected to be the biggest BBMAs yet. With a star-studded lineup of performers, exciting collaborations and talented nominees, the ceremony will be the BEST three hours not only of your week, but ALL time.

When are the Billboard Music Awards?

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards air TONIGHT, May 1st @ 8PM ET/PT on NBC. They are taking place LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Who is hosting the ceremony?

The Voice coach and multiplatinum pop star Kelly Clarkson will emcee as well as executive produce the three-hour telecast. 2019 also marks the second consecutive time Clarkson has hosted the annual show.

Where can you watch the show?

The show will be available for viewing on NBC for everyone watching from their televisions with cable. It will also be streaming on NBC.com with both starting at 8PM ET (delayed for west cost).

The digital pre-show, hosted by Sirius XM’s Sway Calloway, Sofia Reyes and Jaymes Vaughan, will take place from 6-8PM EST/3-5PM PST LIVE from the red carpet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. It will be available to logged-in and logged-out audiences on Twitter and connected devices via @BBMAs.

Produced by dick clark productions, the stream will be available exclusively on Twitter, where fans can watch and participate in the live red carpet experience. Featuring exclusive interviews and a star-studded lineup of nominees, performers and presenters, fans will be able to engage in real-time conversation on the platform as some of the biggest moments of the night unfold.

Who is nominated?

As we all know, this year has been a breakthrough year for music in every genre. From artists like Cardi B and Drake continuing to dominate the charts to Taylor Swift looking to break yet another record with most wins of all time, the nominee list is more talented than ever.

Last month, Kelly Clarkson joined Dan + Shay on the Today Show in New York City to reveal the nominees in top categoriesCardi B leads with a whopping 21 nominations this year, followed by Drake and Post Malone with seventeen, Travis Scott with twelve, XXXTENTACION with ten and Ariana Grande with nine.

What about the performers?

The lineup of performers is what we’re looking forward to most this year.

With an opening performance by Taylor Swift of her new single “Me!,”additional artists that are confirmed to take the stage include BTS featuring Halsey, Ciara, BBMA host Kelly ClarksonLauren Daigle, Dan + Shay, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Jonas BrothersKhalid, Tori KellyMadonna and Maluma, and Panic! At The Disco

Mariah Carey will receive the coveted ICON Award at this year’s show and is confirmed to perform her biggest hits onstage as well as give an inspiring speech to the millions watching later this evening. The true definition of an icon, Carey has been smashing records since she debuted on the music scene in 1990 with her self-titled album. Over the next three decades she continued to rule the charts, creating anthems, and snapshots of pop culture history along the way.

Paula Abdul will hit the 2019 Billboard Music Awards stage to perform a medley of her biggest record-breaking hits as the show’s “Throwback” moment. Always a fan favorite, the Billboard Music Awards create a nostalgic moment each year with performances and musicians of our pop culture past for the Billboard Music Awards Throwback.
